Benefits of Using Eisenhower Matrix

Using the Eisenhower Matrix will help me a lot in arranging my priorities. As a new teacher and a new mother with a new child, I was feeling great pressures and challenges during the past academic year. I was very tired of the large number of tasks and the pressures of school on the teacher, and entrusting him with things that were beyond his capacity, whether important or not. That is, we are held accountable for everything we did not perform, and now when I looked at the Eisenhower Matrix, I benefited a lot and wished I had gotten to know it last year, because I was very distracted, felt constantly confused, and was always anxious due to the many tasks on my shoulders, and I did not know Where do I start and what deserves to be prioritized? I used to work randomly, without arranging my priorities, but I have now changed a lot, thanks to God and then thanks to my recognition of this matrix during this course.

Ethical Dilemma

Step 1: Our school is a government school that follows the approach, vision and mission of the Ministry, which believes that one of its most important priorities is raising the academic achievement of students. From this standpoint, all departments of the school in various specializations seek to show gradual and satisfactory results, as students’ grades must improve with each quarterly evaluation. Sometimes this happens. Things that contradict ethical charters and contradict all the values that we embrace. The coordinator sometimes forces us during marking in the final exams to overlook some major and obvious errors in the answers. Whereas in previous exams it gives us very precise instructions and forces us to be accurate in correcting and not to be lenient in assigning more marks than what the student deserves, and I think this is not fair. It makes us measure with different standards in each test. The problem is that one of the teachers objected to this previously, and I remember...

Reflection of Vroom-Yetton Decision Model

Reflection of Vroom-Yetton Decision Model      This model helps the leader to make leadership decisions in team contexts, and gives you 5 methods of decision making. This method that it offers ranges from authoritarian to participatory, depending on what the situation requires. Where the Vroom-Yetton model aims to   enhance the quality of the decision so that it can be accepted and implemented through team participation. This model is based on directing the leader to choose the appropriate method decision according to the current circumstances and multiple factors such as: (the importance of the decision - the experience of the work team - the specific time constraints). This model is based on the important principle that there is no one-size-fits-all decision-making process. The Vroom-Yetton model offers a number of different processes and selects for you the ones that best suit your current situation. The beauty of this model is that it determines for you th...

The current vision of our school

The current vision of our school: Pioneering the provision of permanent and innovative learning opportunities of high quality for the Qatari community. 1- Our vision focused on student success: 8 2-  Our vision is ispiring: 10 3-  Our vision is aspirational: 10 4-  Our vision is concise: 10 5-  Our vision is memorable: 9 6-  Our vision is clear: 10 Re-drafted vision statement (the changes that I want to make and the reason):  Preparing an educated generation proud of the Qatari and Islamic identity that serves itself and society creatively. I see that the old vision focused on providing qualitative and innovative education, but I want the student to possess this education that qualifies him to be a useful person in his future life. - And I mean here by serving himself: that the student learns the knowledge that makes him successful in his scientific, practical and social life. - And I mean by serving his community: that the student possesses the knowledge t...

Study Case

As an Arabic language teacher in one of the classrooms in the preparatory stage in one of the public schools in Kuwait, the school pressures you on the one hand (raising the academic achievement of students), and this is a necessary requirement for your continuation of work.   Sarah is a student in the ninth grade, she suffers from a condition related to the nerves, and suffers from epilepsy and convulsions. Private English to a public school that supports the Arabic language more, and therefore has a severe weakness in the Arabic language and does not know how to write in Arabic letters at all, but it is very good in the English language. In the first week of the academic year, the social worker summoned all (Sarah's) teachers and informed them of her health condition and asked them to sign a paper (knowledge of the condition). Because the doctor who is following Sarah has recommended several recommendations that must be realized by the school that Sarah attended, inc...

Daily Reflection

Reflection 1: We, as leaders, need to share our experiences with our colleagues. We need new experiences to be added to us. Each of us needs continuous development. When we share a problem and discuss it, we will get to know it more because we look at it from many angles and from different points of view, and this will make us frame the problem and will make it easier for us to solve it. We have to focus on several things, including: 1-Good communication with others. 2-Understand different points of view. 3-Collaborative problem solving. 4-Participation in decisions. Through today's lecture, I learned that there are 6 areas of training I think the most important of these areas is (building relationships). Whenever my relations are good in any community environment, this will make it easier for me to achieve my goals that I seek. I have to develop myself and those around me, accept change for the better, and convince those around me that this is the year of life, which is: (contin...

Daily Action

Day 1:  I have to arrange my priorities as a leader, I must think of 6 areas of practices with those around me, first I must define a strategic direction to follow, then I seek to build good relations between me and colleagues, then ensure the performance of the responsibilities that fall on each of us, and convince colleagues that development It is a continuous and necessary matter, and it is inherent to a person until the last day of his life. I have to lead the group in line with the main goal of the institution and work towards achieving better learning for students. Day 2: 1- I see that I am a person who makes hasty decisions, and I am always afraid of change or moving to another stage, and I try to change this thing in my personality. I must be patient and think a lot before implementing or making a decision, and I must be patient when any reactions to the decision occur. Which I take because I quickly regret it. I have to be more powerful and strive to implement my de...

My favorite worse decision

Day 1: My favorite worst decision is to work in a very serious, stressful, cross-cultural environment, under the supervision of a nervous and hard-working leader. At the beginning, I was very upset because this thing caused pressure on me from several directions, especially since I am a new teacher and a new master's student, and I hesitated between resigning or continuing my job, as I saw those around me enjoying a more comfortable work environment. But now I realized that I am much stronger than the rest of the people who work in a work environment different from me. I saw that I got used to the pressures, and now my experience in many areas is much greater than others. Day 2: One of the hidden traps present in this decision is that I thought that this first school I worked in was the best school, as I did not want to change the work environment and try another place because I believed that this place was the best in everything, and I was worried about facing change and facing c...
