Study Case

 

As an Arabic language teacher in one of the classrooms in the preparatory stage in one of the public schools in Kuwait, the school pressures you on the one hand (raising the academic achievement of students), and this is a necessary requirement for your continuation of work.

 

Sarah is a student in the ninth grade, she suffers from a condition related to the nerves, and suffers from epilepsy and convulsions. Private English to a public school that supports the Arabic language more, and therefore has a severe weakness in the Arabic language and does not know how to write in Arabic letters at all, but it is very good in the English language.

In the first week of the academic year, the social worker summoned all (Sarah's) teachers and informed them of her health condition and asked them to sign a paper (knowledge of the condition). Because the doctor who is following Sarah has recommended several recommendations that must be realized by the school that Sarah attended, including that Sarah must To sit next to the wall, to reduce any harm caused to her if she has a state of convulsion, and it is also strictly forbidden for the teacher or students to make a loud sound in the presence of Sarah because this will affect her nerve disorder, and Sarah must be accompanied by a chaperone while moving her between classes or in the school corridors Or when you direct her to any place in the school.

The Arabic language teacher was unable to deal with this case for several reasons, including that she was unable to implement the recommended recommendations on the paper that was signed. The teacher tried to change Sarah's place and put her next to the wall, but Sarah refused, based on her poor eyesight and that she could not see the board from the side sides of the class. In addition, Sarah was slow to absorb, and her Arabic language was very weak, and this represented a major obstacle in communication between the teachers. And Sarah, the teacher, is required by the school and the Ministry of Education to raise the academic achievement of this student and puts additional efforts on the shoulders of the teacher to perform it to take into account Sarah's condition.

 

The teacher tried to communicate with the guardian directly to consider a plan to improve Sarah's performance and work to raise her achievement and take into account her medical condition, but the guardian is not cooperating enough with the school administration or the teachers, and her guardian holds a prominent position in the Ministry of Education and is known as he can make unfair decisions against any of the organization's employees.
