Reflection of Vroom-Yetton Decision Model

Reflection of Vroom-Yetton Decision Model

This model helps the leader to make leadership decisions in team contexts, and gives you 5 methods of decision making.

This method that it offers ranges from authoritarian to participatory, depending on what the situation requires.

Where the Vroom-Yetton model aims to enhance the quality of the decision so that it can be accepted and implemented through team participation.

This model is based on directing the leader to choose the appropriate method decision according to the current circumstances and multiple factors such as: (the importance of the decision - the experience of the work team - the specific time constraints).

This model is based on the important principle that there is no one-size-fits-all decision-making process. The Vroom-Yetton model offers a number of different processes and selects for you the ones that best suit your current situation.

The beauty of this model is that it determines for you the extent to which you need an authoritarian decision or a democratic decision, according to the data of the situation that confronts you and the current circumstances you are going through. If cooperation is required, it will direct you to make a democratic decision.

But if decisiveness is required and speed is a must, then the possibility of giving you an authoritarian decision is very high.

What I liked about this model is that it helps us make the right decision according to the situation.

But I see that this model will not be able to provide me with all the decisions I need, especially under rare or exceptional circumstances.
